does anybody know of any long term harms to the engine if the balance shafts are removed?

All the balance shafts do is make the driver feel less engine vibrations. The motor still runs the same with them removed, you just may feel a bit more vibration and have higher oil pressure.

thanks a lot, i am pulling the engine again and think ill then just get one of the eliminator kits from sbr
