I have a 91 Talson TSI, the only thing I have changed is a 2g fuel pump. Its an automatic, and while normal driving in 1st and 2nd gear it doesn't get above 3 grand on the tach. in Third gear around 55-60 mph it goes to 3500-3600 and spits and sputters, and my factory boost gauge shoots up to 14. At half throtle it isn't so bad but it still does it. I've changed plugs, wires, fuel pump, and some vacume line. Any suggest. Also this is with the dump tube off the BOV. If i connect it to sputters worst and at lower rpms.

when did this start happening?

i'm going to say boost leak. that's my answer to everything tho.

Its started since I've had the car... I bought it about 2-2 1/2 weeks ago. and I have been tring to replace hoses, plugs, and wires....all the normal tune up stuff.
