I recently bought a centrificul supercharger for my car used.. It came with a Greddy Tpse S BOV mounted in the discharge pipe..
Anyways, i started it at 5 psi of boost and it was fine.. The BOV sounded real good... then i threw the boost to 9 with a bigger crank pulley and drove the car probably a month, making frequent trips to the dyno and track... the day after the track, i got on it down the road and as soon as i shifted hard out of boost, the blower made a god aweful noise... When i pulled the belt off, i noticed that the pulley could not turn.. the oinside seized up! Soo i sent it back to vortech since its warrentied (i did not tell them i changed the pulley ebcause that would void it).. When they finished looking at it, they told me that it surged.. they only warrentied half because i did not use a VORTECH bypass valve, but an aftermarket one.... My question is why?????? The car makes 350 RWHP and 375 rwtq... Is the type S too small? or is there another problem. As you can tell, i dont know much about blowoff valves... thanks
