I have extensively searched this board for an answer to this but was not able to find anything.
When I start my car the RPMs go up to about 2500-3000RPM and pretty much stay there until the car reaches an operating temp of 180F. This was not the case before I pulled the head, replaced the cams, & cleaned the TB.
The idle then drops to a lumpy surge 1100-900RPM. As the car is driven everything is fine until I lift of the gas (TPS is about 8-10%), at this stage the tach needle goes to 2000rpm and stays there. Sometimes a blip of the throttle will get the RPMs down to 1000, but most of the time even if I do blip the throttle the idle is reluctant to go below 2000rpm.
I have gone through all the Fast Idle (aka Idle Surge) pages and have made sure that there are no leaks, IAC, EGR, FIAV are in working condition. My BISS screw is open by about 1 CCW rotation only. Usually 2 CCW rotations yield an idle of 750rpm. I feel that this is an electrical problem. Caps of ECU were replaced last year.
Of note, I am running Web Cams 546/547 and am pulling a vac of 8-10 in-hg only, also worth mentioning I am running a MAF-T.
Any suggestions?
