hey i just did a boost leak test in my girlfriends 1992 turbo eclipse and we noticed a very distinct hissing sound coming from the intercooler (stock unit). i was wondering if there are any ways to fix these intercoolers or should i just start shopping around for a new one?

perfect time to upgrade :), or u can just snag one from the classifieds for like 30 bucks, people are always selling them from torn down 1gs.

I'd put some JB Weld or poxy where the hissing is coming from. That would fix it for cheap, no need to buy a new stock unit. Upgrading would be a more expensive alternative...probably the one I would do :p

If she isn't up to letting you upgrade it, you could always make it a bigger hole :D

cool, ill first give the jb weld thing a try and then if it still hisses its sounds like its time for an upgrade :)
