ok, so here's the issue. over the summer, my crank shaft went, so i replaced my 420a engine w/ another one. so, long story short, driving to work the other day, and my car stalls out on me. turn it back on, and there's a knocking noise in the engine. i can feel the knock through my clutch, but when i push it down, the noise continues w/o the feeling in the clutch. noise skips everyonce in a while, and it increases w/ engine RPM. took it to tranny shop, they say it could b piece of carbon in cylinder, or wrist pin. a friend of mine told me it could be the rod that the flywheel spins in the tranny knocking around, that's why i took it to a tranny shop. n e wayz, anybody have any ideas, and prices for those ideas? thanx much

Does the knock get louder and increase in frequency in relation to your RPM's?
I have a hard time buying the carbon buildup or the input shaft causing the knock - wrist pin maybe, but it sounds like a spun rod bearing to me. Pull the oil pan and check for metal.

the knocking noise does increase with Engine RPM speed, doesn't get louder though. also, everyonce in a while, especiall at higher RPM's, like aroudn 2-3.5k the noise will skip a bit

Your motor is most likely blown again.

Take it to a mechanic, but defiant is most likely correct, you spun a rod bearing.

Don't drive it.
