I just switched to syntec 10w30 synthetic blend, cause I wanted to break my car in to mobil 1, but didnt want to just switch straight up since I hear you should break your car into it.

However recently I also have put on a 1G BOV, Dejon tool intake pipe and upper intercooler pipes.

I did the oil change on a stupid incline and apparently didnt drain all the oil out, and put too much in, drove it around a little, and since I was checking for boost leaks I noticed it was burning some oil near the alt + turbo (yes I know.. oil + turbo heat = bad),

I drained out about a quart and it was a little low, but reading a little above the low hash (which should be no problem)

I drove to school and everything felt fine, didn't get hot, but I got to school and noticed a little smoke under the hood, so I popped it and saw a decent amount of oil around the alternator that had sprayed from somewhere. I looked at the ground and I had been draining a trail of oil for the last 40 feet, and a spotty trail for the last 1000 ft or so

Anyways, I did too many things recently so I'm not quite sure what caused the problem, but the car was running fine , still is.. oil pressure and all... the T25 is making full boost around 4k w/ (stock exhaust) is this normal?

Could the oil be leaking out of a seal somewhere cause it's too thin?

I dont know what I should do here (beside get some oil RIGHT AWAY).. I'm still at school and now Im sitting in class worrying about my engine blowing up.. heh it's harsh

You mention that you changed your oil right. Did you check to see if the seal on the old oil filter came off and did you tighten you new filter down correctly. Also did you use a little oil around the rubber seal on the new filter. Check those first. try and see if you can locate the leak but this should be a start for now. :thumb:

I bet you ur right!

I'm going to check that out after class because I put a new filter on and tightened pretty good by hand, but I don't know about the seal off of the old oil filter

It is RIGHT in the area of the car, so it's a good suggestion :)

I went out there after class and found the the filter was loose, tightened it up

went and got a quart of oil, found out it had drained way more than I thought and one quart was not enough, so I had to go back to the store and got 3 qts syntec and 1 qt Lucas Oil stabilizer, put em all in, nothing leaked out...

Fired it up, and it started gurgling lucas oil stabilizer gel out of a leak that was somewhere on the "piece" (adapter?) that connects to the oil filter. :(

I had AAA, so I had it towed to my shop, I'll come back and tell what it was after the let me know.. :(

The problem was just the O-ring in the Oil Filter Assembly

replaced now and all is good, turbo spooling much better with the increased oil level :(

now I gotta buy more Lucas Oil stabilizer to see how it works (since the other quart drained out of the seal)

WTF

NEED MORE HELP, CAR RE-BROKEN

I just installed a boost gauge, found out my car is running 16PSI w/o boost control (exhaust and i/c piping pushed it up im sure)

It was only going to about 10-11 PSI in first, but second got to 16 real fast, and third so on IS THIS NORMAL?

I was romping on it a bit, and then I lost oil pressure, pop the hood and the o-ring that blew before in the Oil filter housing assembly seems to have blown AGAIN

WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS TO BLOW?!

Please help guys, I had it done at a shop so I'm sure they'll refix it for free, but what is causing this? is it just that my car is running too much boost for it's old age? I have a MBC coming and I can turn the boost down as soon as that comes.

well i've heard alot of talk about the oil dipstick shooting out of the socket, but never an o-ring....maybe its the same kinda issue, probably you have some kind of air pressure leak or something...maybe a gasket?

Yeah, that's definitely a little weird. See if you can trace the oil lines and see if there's any kinks in it anywhere. There's probably one that goes to your head and one that goes to your turbo. Also, you could try a slightly thinner oil. I mean, it's MN. I figure it probably gets kinda cold there. Worth a shot I guess. Otherwise, check the bolt that the filter sits on. Maybe it's just crapped out. It takes a 24mm deep socket to take it out.
