blow off valve trouble

at idle I can here a good amount of air spuddering through the intake, and when driving and I let off the gas a loud beeping noise comes from my bov, I think that it is rubbing when it is trying to close or there is a problem with the spring. If anyone knows what is going on please help. should I get a new bov or should I try to fix the one I have?

please be a little more specific, when you give it gas enough the car will go into boost, but when u let off it gets rid of excess boost, so maybe a little more info will help,

it seems as though it releases the boost ok, but i have been thinking that i have a boost leak and the bov might be a part of it. at idle a hear a lot of air going through the bov, but it seems to hold boost ok. as i said it makes a crazy beeping noise when i let off the gas even when i am not under boost probably because there is already a lot of air going through it

Its probably low on batteries. :laugh:


J/K Have you checked the tension on the spring? Mine used to make a whistling noise when it was vented because the spring would not close under certain idle or boost conditions.

how do i check the tension on the spring? Oh and if i shift fast the beeping noise does not happen or is not obvious, but under slow conditions it is loud as hale
