I need to get my car fixed so i can drive to visit relatives for the holidays etc... Here we go.. I will be driving down the free way or where ever doesnt matter and suddenly I lose power and the engine starts stuttering like fuel or spark is being cut. Then the check engine light comes on a second or two later. Then maybe 5 seconds later it goes away and everything is fine. This happens when cruising not under WOT.

Mods I have:
2.5 turbo back w/ test pipe at the moment
mbc @ 10-11psi
boost gauge
Filter and opened up can

Things I have replaced already:
Timing belts,pulleys tentioners
plugs wires filter
knock sensor
fuel filter

Please help I need to fix this ASAP

When this happens, do you hear a click coming from the center console area?

The problem you describe sounds a bit like what happens when ECU capictors leak. What happens is they can't supply enoough power., so the ecu periodically resets as if the car has been turned off and on again, but this is usually accompanied by the clicking sound of the fuel relay(?) reseting as well. This would also explain the power loss, since the fuel relay is being reset and the fuel supply is being cut off momentarily. The check engine light also comes on a for few seconds until the ecu finishes reseting and the fuel supply is back to normal.

yea no ticking sounds. Or smell and no visual evidence that they would have leaked when i opened ecu and checked the capacitors. Also I have never tested the coil pack is the procedure in the manual or maybe online? Thanks guys

replace your coil pack. Was doing it to me occasionally then it finally died. I thought it was running too lean at first but the logger pulled the code for me.

This weekend I am going to recap the ecu replace the coil pack and do some other things so we will see what happens.
