I have a 99 gst 7 bolt, had the engine rebuilt only have 127 miles and have crankwalk, my question is why cant i put a 1st gen bearing in the top middle with the lips on it (it does fit) beacause it makes a perfect fit so and endplay is with in specs. everyone has told me that you cant do this, but i want to know why?

dude, its simple it wasnt built right

EVEN the most crankwalked year eclipse could be rebuilt and wont crankwalk that fast, thats STRICTLY a builder problem

Take that shit back and give them shit about it

How does a brand new motor with brand new things on it walk that fast? LOL, its rediculous, i hope people dont start blaming this on 7bolts

ESPECIALLY a 99, which the redesigned bearings and crank

Im not building mine till it goes out, im a 99gst, and i will rebuild my 7 bolt

You just have to find the right place to do it

i have a 96 rebuilt in know its not 99, walked in 10,000 miles i really killed it 3mm of endplay. Machine shop fully Assembled my motor. Think they f*d that up too?

Going fully built 6 bolt so it doesn't matter anyway.
