I have a 99 GST, was just rebuilt and only has 57 miles on it. ever since I installed the act 2600 clutch first off I had to put washer behind that ball on the tranny because the car would not go into any gear, so with that I also replace the master and slave cylinder, but every time i depress the clutch the car drop 100 - 200 rpms and if i hold it the rpms will go back up but is seems to shake a little, and when im coming to a stop and press on the clutch and brakes the car will sometimes stall.

If I am not mistaken that is one of the symptoms of crankwalk. This would be much worse now that you have a ACT 2600. That pushes the crank even harder. Have you measured the endplay on the crank?

Dear DSM'ers, i just got back from an AAMCO in Burlington, VT. I have the ACT 2600 lb clutch, and my idle drops when i push the clutch in. Manuel2063.... im sorry to say, you have crankwalk. By now, noticing that the engine is losing power when u push the clutch in is really your pistons (among other things) rubbing against your walls, etc. I was very dissapointed to hear this news, but when they showed me the 1/4" of play in my crank, i was convinced. Damn 7 bolts. SO, now i need a bottom end rebuild, along with a new clutch. And may i recommend that ANY DSM'er DOES NOT USE THE ACT 2600 CLUTCH, unless you build from the bottom end up, including bearings. <---This kid needs a rebuild :(

My car did the same thing all I did to fix it was replace the act throw-out bearing with a mitsubishi one. The act one was all in pieces after 10k miles.

Thanks for all your help, I did check the end play and its within specs. and again the engine now only has 120 miles from rebuild, this was a full long block rebuild

Frosh 29 my car did't have crankwalk. My throwout bearing was in pieces (seized). By the way my 7-bolt has 90k on it runing twelves at 25psi. :D
