well two nights ago my gauges went out as well as my taillights/running lights, so last night i fix the fuse and all is good and dandy. tonight though, the gaugepod started to smoke as i was testing my newly installed radio and now the lights dont work in it. the warning lights in the pod still work as does the pod itself as far as tach and speedo and such. my taillights still work as do the running lights, the fuse i replaced is still fine as well. what would cause this to happen and how can i fix it?

you have a short some where in your system........i would start at the gauges and work my way back to the fuse box..........i am sure if it smoked, it should have left some tell tail signs of the damage it did, like burnt wires or something in that area..........hotwheels

you burnt out the dash dimmer switch from a short in your gauge wiring.

happened to me twice before i went in there with some serious electrical tape :talon:

could it be from the stereo install? i thought that i had everything taped up pretty good but who knows. why wouldnt it blow the fuse? and why didnt it cause my lights to go outlike the day before?
