ok ive searched and searched tried a few things but i still have no idea whats wrong with my car. 1991 eagle talon tsi fwd. this is what happens. car starts and runs fine for about 20-30 mins then idle drops and is unstable usually from 800 rpms to about 300 give or take a few then it will just die out this is at idle the whole time i put the key in start it and sit there. ive tried adjusting the throttle didnt work. got a ecu for dsm trader . did plugs and wires (ngks from mitsubishi) checked the coil pack and spark from each wire was fine compression is 168 the whole was across and untill i check timing this weekend im not sure about that. i did a complete check of all vaccum lines checked all my IC piping didnt find any leaks. any ideas??? oh ya the alt. is putting out 14.6 volts. like i said any ideas will help thanks.

oh yeah also if i do give it some throttle maybe to about 2500 and let off it almost dies drops to like 300 rpm. also it sounds like its missing when i give it throttle but im not sure because it is very slight not a real bad miss but it does sound like its missing.

does your BOV recycle into your intake. and your idle air controller might be bad. i got something like the same problem. bad idle from BOV not recycling+ bad IAC

yeah im not venting so i dont think its that unless the bov is leaking but im only running stock boost. might be a bad iac i guess. still gonna check timing before i move onto anything else. thanks

I know there are plenty of posts on here about this.

Go to the VFAQ page and check you ISC. Even if it checks good, I hear you can clean them, but have never done that. Look under “intake” section.
