I had recently installed a 91 GSX tranny in my 90 Talon Tsi, and I realized the shift cable for reverse is broke.. I have heard that the cables for the different year models are somewhat different from 90-91-92 and I wasnt sure if this was true or not, and I need to find this out before I go purchase a new shift cable.. any help would be much appreciated

Will the cables and shifter off of the 91, 5 speed non turbo FWD work just the same as the AWD turbo model? Are they the same?

Also I installed a ACT 2100 clutch in it, and now when I push the clutch in to put it in gear, its not wanting to go in.. I mean it will work, but sometimes I have to push the clutch very had against the floor.. In otherwords the engagement point is very very low and I dont know why.. Someone had said I need to replace the master Cylinder and Slave cylinder since I dont think they have been replaced before.. but im not sure.. any suggestions?

FIrst off pull back the rubber boot on the slave cylinder and see if theres any leakyness under there if there is replace it. Do the same for the Master cylinder, you have to look under the dash up over the pedal assembly on the far right of the pedal assembly. Its hiding up in there. Most likely though you just need to give your pedal some more travel by adjusting the master cylinder closer to you or out away from the firewall.
