well i think my alternator may be going bad. when im driving the car and go to stop and put the brakes on the engine idles lower and what seems to be losing power, it also does this sittin still, it has shut off as well :talon:

Leave the car at idle with the lights and wipers on. Attach a voltmeter to the battery terminals (make sure the meter is set up for DC). It should read above 13.5v if the alternator is ok. Less than 13.5v is no good. 13-13.5v is acceptable, but not what you want. Less than 13v is bad. Thats where to start for that problem. If you have a ow voltage reading, most likely the alternator is no good, but there is a slight chance of other things being wrong instead, but start with that.
