You know, I have had this problem for a really long time. And I cant think of anything I havent checked. It is getting really annoying. Sorry for jumping in on your thread, but if anyone has any ideas. Pass them along.....

does the engine shake alot?? try cleaning the egr it will get clogged with carbon and exhaust build up and cause a small misfire and idle surging. if the engine shakes alot and you'll know what i mean by alot. then you may have broken the balance belt. just a thought good luck! :thumb:

My engine likes to have the idle surge too...it sucks. I am getting an IAC and maybe that will cure it. If not then i am gonna do NGK plugs...get rid of my bosch crappie platniums, wires, and O2 sensor. My engine at idle shakes every once in a while ...it feels like after each rotation or whatever....like everytime u start it up it moves...well its kinda like that....just every 4 seconds or w/e...mostly when the idle surges to about 400 rpms... I did my timing belt and balance shaft belt about 2000 miles ago...I dont know if i trust my work though. Also when driving at a constant rpm u can feel it buck a little bit every once in a while....(as in every 5-10 secs...maybe misfire?) according to my gauge its at the last rich bar on it so maybe need new O2 sensor...if any ideas...plz let me know
