today i installed my MBC and took my car out to tune the MBC and at the lowest setting on my MBC i hit 16 psi and then it dropped off to 10. first, i thought that a MBC would cure my spike issues. second, i then turned the MBC all the way up so that i would run high boost and then hit 28 psi! i am under the assumption that my turbo was the stock T-25, however could a T-25 hit that kind of psi numbers? third, while i had my stock intake pipe off i did the "dump tube mod" where you cut out the dump tube from the BOV to increase air flow. After i took the car out to drive it again i noticed incredible noise between 10 psi-18psi. it sounds like airflow, but its not a nice controlled suction sound, it sounds loud and kind of uncontrolled. Now i have my MBC set to about 18 psi simply because i dont think i have the tunability that i would with a real aftermarket boost controller. It seems pretty hard to adjust the boost properly with my home made controler. im going to mess with the spring and see if i cant make it better. when i had the boost turned up higher 20 psi+ the car seemed incredibly fast, i would spin all my tires through about mid-2nd gear or so. i know these are two separate issues but here is my main questions : would the dump tube hack create a much louder airflow sound, and if i was on the stock T-25 would it have hit 28 psi (also if it could have would it be the factor in my loud airflow, could i have ruined my turbo?) now also after today running high boost and all, i noticed heavy white/grey smoke after acceleration. when i let off the gas i would get HUGE clouds of white/grey smoke. no white/grey smoke at idle or through any acceleration unless i hit more than 5 psi of boost. is it possible that i blew my turbo today, or would it be worse? sorry for rambling, but im kinda worried now.

^---what he said, but I'll also add that you probably shouldn't spin the wheels on your awd...they tend not to like that.

i didnt run the car for any extended amount of time running that high of boost. only for about 5 seconds till i could react and pull over and adjust it all the way out and tune from there. i actually liked just having the stock BCS on there so i switched back over tonight to stock, i will see how it acts tommorow morning. i also forgot to mention that i run a HKS SSQ BOV that is vented, so im basically wondering if the dump tube hack could have created a really loud difference in how my turbo spools and draws air in. its almost like my turbo spools and then my car gets really loud but doesnt seem to be going near as fast as it should for all the noise it is making. i almost think that somewhere in my install i created a boost leak. hopefully i didnt blow some hose off somewhere more than the obvious places, intake manifold for my boost gauge tap (blew that off twice tonight in different spots), and i know i didnt create on in my intercooler piping or my intake anywhere. im just wondering why my turbo would be spooling so hard, sounding like its sucking in crazy amounts of air...really an uneven sound too. also, i dont make it a habit of spinning the tires, only let it happen today out of suprise.
