i am putting a Star Stage 2 Turbo Kit on my 1995 eclipse GS. so i was wondering if i should change the ECU to a GST ECU. i am also putting in a manual transmission so i know i wont be needing the Automatic trany ECU. anybody know what i should do? :dsm:

a 4G63T ECU won't work with the 420A the GS's had.

(they're two totally different motors)

You might *possibly* be able to get an SRT-4 ECU to work with that tho.. probably be easier to find a standalone solution tho.

PLEASE do NOT post information that you have not researched and do not know anything of. The SRT-4 does NOT have a 420A motor, and therefor the SRT-4 ECU will NOT work with that. get a GS Manual ECU or a standalone like Greddy, AEM, Apexi or something.

thats what i thought. i was sure that they werent the same engine. and thanks for the tip but im still puzzled on what you guys meen with the "standalone" should i just look it up on a search engien and figure it out for myself? hahaha if there is anyone on here that knows a bit about ECUs and general causes and effects with them please PM me, i have a MAJOR problem and i think its ECU related. thanks :dsm:
