:thumbdown ok, this car is gettin me REAL pissed off...i hope you can help because i am on boost withdrawl...really bad...haha. so here it goes: ok so i took my turbo and head off because i had to broken bolts on the turbine housing, and 4 broken exhaust manifold studs so i took those both into the machine shop and had them drilled out. in the process of taking the head off i made sure i removed the head bolts in sequence to the hanes manual. when i got the head back, i proceeded to put the turbo on, then the head, along with a new head gasket. during the head gasket/head intsall process i made sure i follow the sequence for instalation in the hanes manual. it said "follow the 3 stage sequence for instalation, see figure 21" so i look at the figure, and all it is is the damn picture of the bolt # order to follow. WTF...ok so i figure the 3 stage thing meant gradually tighten each stud to the actuall spec, so ok i do that, i go to every stud in order tighten each one till they are tight, tighter, and then torqe them. i finish the install and go to start it, i just cranks like the MPI fuse is pulled...so i check everything three times over. it has spark, fuel, pressure everything, ok...so when i try cranking it again, it starts to smoke mediocre style by the block/head and powersteering areaits like a greyish black smoke. the only thing i came up with is that the head is warped from the way i tightend it down. if you can help that would be awesome Thanks -Matt
