new 7 bolts have diff tbearing design for dsm?

Hey quick question guys, I was at the mitsu dealer talking to their master tech guy. He seems to do all of the dsm work around here for people who dont want to do certain things. Anywayz he said that the newer 7 bolts for our cars are different and I believe he was saying that they didn't utilize the same thrustbearing design. Can someone elaborate. Someone asked this question in another thread but it was closed before an answer could be given. Searching for this brought up lots of random things and i was curious to see if anyone had new information about this or if this is just infact false.

Well theres no way to truly tell until 60k miles, if you would like to risk that. But instead of getting a 7 bolt id want the 6 bolt cuz the motor can handle more power in stock form.
