I'm not too great when it comes to troubleshooting so all I can really do is take shots in the dark while scratching my head, so I figured i'd see if any of you knew a possible cause of this power loss. I'll try to describe the best I can and please excuse my unintelligent detail, im still learning =).

Ok this seems to happen a lot on the highway now, and I can't seem to figure out why. Its pretty random, and the RPMs are usually around 2.5-3k, ill hit the gas and it just wont move. A few details, I have a mostly stock 95 GSX manual, boost gauge, boost controller, intake pipe, intercooler piping, and now im running open downpipe. With that ive ran turbo blue more than a few times but its expensive so not too much. Basically on the highway when I put my foot in it, the engine sounds like its really straining and compared to what it normally sounds like, it sounds worse. The RPMs will climb veeery slowly but the speed will not change. The car just doesn't accelerate. I got mad boost creep but usually it tends to stick right at 15psi, if I pump the gas itll go into 17 but it stays put at 15 for the most part. I can't really explain much else, and it can do this two or three times, but on the fourth itll pull like a beast, like it should. I've done maybe 1 or 2 hard pulls 1st thru 3rd but for the most part the problem seems to be in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears. If theres any helpful information that I left out please let me know and I will do what I can to try and get it, I just would like to know what this could be. Im scared to think that it could be something wrong with the engine, its only got about 65k miles on it. My course of action will probably be to check for boost leaks today, and do a comp. test later this week. But please, please let me know if any of you have an idea of what this could be, I would really appreciate it. Sorry for the booklong post, just didn't want to leave anything to the imagination. Thankyou :)

PS - I used the search function and found a couple posts about this subject but I found my situation to vary a little bit from those posted

I am having a similar problem. I just put on a Greddy-s bov on my 98gst, and now sometimes it seems to be doing the same thing as your car. Hopefully the answer to your question will be the answer to both our questions....
