well ive been trying to diagnose my 2 cyl problem, i tried a different coilpack and power transistor, cam sensor, ecu and fuel pump relay

its running on cyl 1 and 4 and its not getting spark to 2 and 3 and i dont think its getting fuel either, but i havent checked that 100%, spark plugs werent wet at all after idling for 30 seconds

Since you've tried all the components now start checking the wire connections around the coil and power transistor to make sure they really are connected securely with no corrosion/muck. Also test the continuity (with ohm meter) of those wires to see if any breaks are in them. Wiggle the wires when checking - often they break a couple inches from a connection. Also the wires from the ecu to the 2 & 3 power transistor. Do all this with engine off. If all checks out, measure the voltage at the 2/3 power transistor and coil while cranking. Disconnect plug wires and ground them to prevent starting while doing this test. Use an analog volt meter (has needle) if you can to see the short voltage dips from 12v that should be there (visable only at extreme low speed like when cranking without an oscilloscope).

You've probably already checked this, but...Have you checked where the spark plug wires plug in? If you've crossed any of the cables then you'll be firing on the cylinders that are correctly hooked up?

Basically, i worded that wierd, so sorry. Hope that helps.

yeah i dont know what you mean u kinda worded that strangely

well i guess im gonna check over everything this weekend, i have only had a little bit of time before work each day to check things so now i have the weekend to really check things over

i have an afc and my wiring definately isnt the best, but it doesnt even tap into the 1&4 and 2&3 so those wires should be stock and untouched

it was a bad connection in my power transistor harness, i had to redo it and it runs on all 4 now, it does sound kinda rough tho, like when ur balance shafts are out of phase the engine makes alot of noise even at lower rpm, i had it idling at 1500, but i have no bshafts now and 4 poly mounts so i dont know, i guess ill see tomorrow when i drive it

took her out for a drive for about 20 mins today and everything seems ok, threw a cel and lifters are tapping still but its not leaking and everything looks good, i still gotta set base timing tho
