Just to be on the safe side I had my timing belt / water pump replaced yesterday on my 90 Laser 1G (got it cheap a couple of years ago). The mechanic noticed blue smoke when he first started the car. Told me it was probably valve seals and I tend to agree. My question is...... Why did it just start smoking after T-belt change? It never smoked before. The car runs great other than the blue smoke that fades after driving a few miles...Has anyone replaced seals on their own... How difficult it is..
