THANKS

If ur recirculating then you wont hear MUCH PSHHHHH but if your venting then you should hear a Noise like Chewwwwwwwwwww. :p

theyre all the same. brand name makes no difference, as PIT makes their own now too...
however...if your buying a BOV just for the noise, be prepared to spend another 250$+ for maf translator and gm maf itself....that is unless you like a dying car as soon as you let off throttle.

If you have the factory intake piping, with the BOV being recirculated, you will barely be able to hear it. Once you remove the air box, and replace the rubber-accordian intake tube with a metal intake, you will be able to hear you BOV loud as hell, recirculated or not. The only difference's with it being recirculated or not SOUND-WISE, is that having your BOV recirculated muffles the purge just a little bit. It sounds like a gush of air, and maybe a little bit of metal mechanical scream in it.
When dumping it into the atmosphere, it has a much more distinct screaming purge (like others said, it kinda sounds like a hawk in a blender...TSSSSEEEEEEEARRR!) really intimidating, and a real head turner. But theres the performance disadvantages of running un-recirculated which I wont go into.
Also, that screw on the back of your BOV is for variant boost levels, it doesnt have a whole lot to do with the sound. Do not take that screw out too far, if i remember correctly, if it is taken out too far things will come apart inside.
