okay this is the deal the car is smoking white smoke, yea yea did a search its either turbo, head gasket, valve seals.

okay this is what happened. Okay the pcv valve got blocked and the car started smoking, worse then a chimny. i mean my car was a cloud of white smoke LOL. it was pretty funny to an extent. neway. i pull over, i can hear oil dropping from somewher esoounds like in the intake. but the breather hoses werent connected to it. i look under the car my oil filter is leaking and it never was before.

so i c heck my oil, down a quart, i add it and unblock the pcv valve. smoking is alot less but still smokes alot. i opened the hood and its smoking down by the turbo, so allright im thinking blown turbo?

but just yesterday trhat thing was pulling hard and never showed anysigns of n ething. the turbo has 70,000 miles on it.

is it possible like one of the lines blew off or busted? or will i have the tedious chore of replacing the turbo?

allright i took off some things and found that there was alot of oil sitting where the intake pipe connects to the turbo. one of the studs on the exhaust manifold broke immediatly (i dont even wanna go there yet). so i assume its the turbo causing all the ruccus, any help is always appreciated.

Nothing yet, tonite im gonna take off more and have a look at it myself, ill probably have to replace the turbo prolly witha 16g

Oil in the coolant, or vice-versa?

Have you done a compression test?

Have you checked for shaft play?

i dont have alot of shaft play and my car is using oil and water my vc is crack and i am loosing oil that way and leaking under the car a little

Well you really can't have any shaft play either way (up, down, left, right, front, back), a little is ok but how much is "not a lot"?

Do a compression test, if you do fine then it's not your head gasket.

quit hijacking my thread.

i cant do a compression test becuase half the front end is tore off.

Wow, I'm tired - I didn't even notice 2 different people were giving "symptoms". Well in that case, check for shaft play anyway and go from there. At least try to rule out the turbo I guess.

I tore apart my center console and power tested the leads to my AFC once. Turns out it was unplugged.

My point is, why did you tear the front half of the car off withour diagnosing basic sypmtoms?

i meant that hijacking to khelder.

becuase the turbo was smoking white smoke, and when i turned off the car u could hear oil being squirted around the turbo.

when i took off the stuff there was alot of oil sitting in the turbo.
