Alright, Here's the problem, I recently installed a fmic(31x6x3) and made all the piping out of mandrel bent 2.25 ID steel piping purchased from jcwhitney and used silicone couplers, however my boost is now coming on really late, say 16 psi around 4000rpm, and is not consistant from gear to gear. I am hitting 16psi late in first, spiking at 16 psi then dropping to 13-14psi in second and third, and then hitting 16psi around 3000 rpm in 4th and 5th. I'm running a ported and clipped evo III 16g and can't remember where i hit full boost before the fmic but i was thinking it was around 3300rpm. Anyways, i was wondering if the amount of ic piping could affect the lag( drops from j pipe 180 to driver side radiator mount, 180 bend to ic, 90 bend from intercooler outlet and then 90 bend up to upper intercooler pipe) or if something else could be causing this. I've always had a little boost creep with the evo III and 3" turboback but within 1-2psi before the install. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I've already pressurized the intake/turbo with a homemade leak tester but haven't found any leaks up to 25 pumps (20psi +- 1). This is the last obstacle before i through in the 680cc's and tune to 18psi and is driving me crazy so any help would be appreciated.
