hey I'm hoping someone could help me out. I have a 97 GSX with an oil leak. It seems to be coming from the lower pulleys maybe the top of the oil pan. I cleaned the area with a degreaser, but its still hard to find the exact location. Could it be the oil gasket? Any suggestions would help. thanks!

There are several seals that could be leaking in that area....you'll have to decide if it is coming from the oil pan gasket itself, or if it is leaking higher up and dripping down. A good way to do this is to try and see if it is coming from inside the lower timing belt cover. If this is the case, you are probably going to have to replace a seal inside the timing cover, like the front crank seal or anything else in there.
