I recently had my timing belt skip a tooth on the exhaust cam because of a bad tensioner, so I took it to a garage and had them rebuild the head and everything, with all new timing components and what not. Once he got the head back on the car, and fired it up, it was running wierd, he's saying that the TPS shows 98% open even when nobody's touching the throttle and several other things are not as they should be, also, there was a lot of carbon on the inside on the head and everything, and he's trying to say that it's from running rich and everything, which I can believe, but he's also trying to tell me that my ecu is gone. I was thinking it might be the ISC (Idle control or whatever motor thingy, can't remember the exact name.) and since they fail pretty often, that this whole head removal was enough to make it fail. somebody, help, please. He said that it wanted to die whenever he first started it up, so he adjusted the BISS screw, and got the idle right, but the diagnostics computer that he has hooked up to it is reading wierd things. Any suggestions are awesome. Thanks for your time.
) Basically, help is needed here, and I hope that it's something stupid liket he TPS or ISC being broken or hooked up incorrectly. Hell, maybe he even put the camshaft angle sensor (or whatever that stupid thing is called that can be put on backwards). Any and all suggestions are welcome, and thanks for all time consumed by helping me.
. Thanks!
