Hey, the Check Eng light is on in my 97 GST, and my logger says it's code P0110 (I think that's the number), which is for the Intake Air Temperature Circuit. I went and got a Chilton's manual, and I checked my physical Intake Air Temp sensor, and the sensor itself (pins 5 and 6 on the Air Flow sensor, yes?) is within specs and works correctly when heated.

What else should I look for? The plug is connected to the Air Flow Sensor securely, but I haven't traced the wires looking for shorts or anything. Is that the only other possible problem? BTW the CEL first came on at the end of an autocross run, so the car was being thrown around a lot. I thought that might have loosened the plug for the Air Flow Sensor, but it's on there all the way. I have cleared the code and it has returned a couple times.

Hm I guess I'll have to call a shop monday since no one on here knows about this or has even looked at the thread haha.

Well, I had no other ideas so I bought a new (used) MAF from the bone yard, and the CEL came back on. Back to the ol' drawing board.

New mas didn't fix the problem, but I didn't run it for more than a few days. Will this affect tuning? I'm about to put a new turbo, injectors, and all that jive in my car and I'm wondering if this problem will affect my car's tuning.

Anyone else have any ideas???

Fixed it, finally. Turns out the wire that goes into the MAS plug for the air temp sensor was just plain . . . broken. I had examined it many many times before, but yesterday I looked again and the wire was just completely broken off. I soldered it back together and now it works. Sweeeeet. :dsm:

I get that code every second or third time I do a boost leak test. I figure it just cause I was messing around in there. After I clear it, its gone until my next 2 or 3 boost leak tests.

I'm glad you figured it out.

That's weird. Do you know how to test your intake air temp sensor to see if it's working? You can do it by hooking a voltmeter to it and heating it up to see if the voltage changes and stays within specs. My shop manual explains it a little better than that.
