i switched over my relatives tsi which had the 13b turbo and the smaller manifold. i also switched the 390s for 440s. i have a 16g coming that is clipped. i was wondering what is the max i should boost. i wasnt sure what i can boost so i was gonna set it to around 12 for now. i didnt know how much more gas i need at the same boost level compared to the stock tiny one. i also want to put in a walbro 255 too.

Without a datalogger, A/F meter, or EGT gauge, you will want to stay on the safe side, I'd say less than 15psi. I ran for a long time with no problems at 17-18psi with 450s, a 14b, and the stock fuel pump on my A/T. I ran my big 16g with a walbro 255 for a short while at 15-16psi, with no knock and EGTs never over 1550. Just get the supporting mods done, it's way more fun at 20psi :)

im gonna have the supporting mods except a datalogger. but i wasnt gonna go over 15 psi anyways. so how much more horsepower would i have at the same boost as the 13b say like 13 psi. obvo i will have more top end but should i expect about 10 hp at the same psi?

i know it will be faster especially on the top end but i didnt know if it would have more horse at the same psi becasue i saw dynos were they gained about 10 hp to the ground.

i have no experience with the 13b, but i have heard it compared to the t25 enough to say that based on that comparison, the car will pull harder and harder and harder all the way to redline, whereas the t25 pulled ok until about 5k, then tapered off. aside from that when i upgraded my turbo with stock everything else, it felt the same at the same psi until that 5k mark, after there is where the difference was. you should be fine at 15psi with your bov. i have a feeling that the thing that killed my t25 was running 15 psi on the leaky shitty 2gbov.. the turbo was probably spinning hard enough to push 20psi through a non leaky intake system. im running my t28 at 13 psi until i get a better bov.
