This may turn out to be a long post, but i figured if i listed ALL of the problems with my car, then someone may at least be able to help with one.

Ok, my idle is high... like, 1500 or 1600 rpms. its stable, but high. i turn on the A/C, and it drops to normal. also, when the car is cold, the idle is close to normal, but when its warmed up, it idles too high.

My clutch started slipping real bad last night, BUT, the speedometer goes up WITH the tach, but no acceleration... weird.

on every other time i drive it, there is a harsh vibration in the steering when i turn to the right. if i drive 100% straight, or to the left, its smooth and great, but, turning to the right yields a jerking/vibration. i had all the wheel bearings, ball joints, and other obvious suspension components checked by a mechanic, and nothing showed up.

also, this may be related to the problem above, on a dirt road/rough road, at low low speeds, something is loose in the front end. it makes a popping/deep rattle.

the tail yoke where my driveshaft fits into, on the tranfer case, is slightly loose, so around 3k to 4.5k rpm, there is a horribly loud vibration sound. REALLY annoying...

during part throttle acceleration, at around 3k to 4k rpm, it hesitates bad, and the car jerks. if i floor it, it smooths out. or if i just accelerate part throttle at above 4k, its smooth. new plugs, and wires were installed. didnt help.

sometimes after the car has been sitting, and also when im driving on the freeway at sustained high speeds, when i go to engage the clutch pedal, i have to PUMP the damn thing to get it to build pressure. if i just push it to the floor, it will stay there.... NOT GOOD.

anyway, im sure there are lots of other little problems that i am leaving out, but i cant think of them all right now, those are the major ones that bug me to death.
its a 97 talon AWD with 52,000 miles on it. i have an intake, exhaust, bov, and an EVOIII 16g on it. if anyone has any help on even 1 of these problems, i would greatly appreciate it
thanks

your vibration might be your right tire being out of balance. In my truck, my left front tire lost a weight and would do just what you said, only to the left and not the right.

Ok, from what i've read on the forum and elsewhere and heard from others experiences (never experienced it myself) but the clutch sticking to the floor is definetly NOT GOOD. In most cases its a warning sign of potential crankwalk. I'm not knowledgable enough to give you a half ass description of crankwalk. BUT ITS REALLY BAD. it has to do with the bearings on your bottom end. I would definetly have that checked out as it could lead to MAJOR problems.

im pretty sure the clutch sticking to the floor is not crankwalk... it doesnt do ANYTHING out of the norm, when turning left, or even right for that matter. the crankshaft endplay has been checked, and its fine. im pretty sure its a leaky slave cylinder. i dont really know for sure. im selling the damn thing as soon as i put a clutch in it.
anyone wanna buy???

:barf: check if master clutch cylinder is leaking( leaking on floormats) and the slave cylinder is most likey bad too...mine was shot at 65k miles...hey I trade you my 97 gst eclipse spider..you can have my headache!!

had the same problem with the clutch sticking to the floor :thumbdown ....like said above its most likely ur slave cylinder....i changed mine and problem solved  .....but since ur doing the slave u might as well change the master cylinder too....with only 52k im guessing neither have ever been changed and since u seem to be havin clutch problems its only for the better to do both...hope this helps
