hey i have a 98 eclipse spyder gst with a k&n air filter and a hks ssq bov, when i hit the gas it boggs between 3000 and 5000 rpm, i think its because im getiing to much psi and not enough gas, wat do u think?

Check your spark plug gaps, plug wires, and maf. It sounds like alot, but my car used to do the same thing, and it was because I was running so rich, it would just flood the motor. Also make sure that you dont have a boost leak somewhere taht would make you run richer or too rich.

BTW I checked out your set-up, and I think I like what your running....

Do you mind if I ask you a question about which plugs you're running....

My car came with these gnarly 2 electrode NGK plugs, I think they were NGK BPR6ESKN....
What's your take on these, or should I just run the BPR6ES's..... I'm not trying to jack a thread, just thought we were discussing potential issue's amongst comrades.... ;)

i would do what 92 AWD Eclipse said. i had exact same thing happened to me when i installed k&n air filter and a hks ssq bov. :dsm:

i currently have the BPR6ES and i am telling you for sure that they are a lot better than the super expensive iridium plugs($10 each...blah!),.. anyway, i am now getting ready to put the BPR6EkN and actually made a thread about it coz i want to know how they work, but i guess they are a stock plugs for later dsm model.

Yeah, that's what I've heard too....
I'm not driving my car just yet, cuz when I flushed my engine and did a T-Belt,
and the BSE, my vavle cover started to leak, could be my cam seals too, I'll take care of that next weekend.....
I didn't have a valve cover gasket, so I'm waiting on that still....
I do have the 4 sparkplug well gaskets though, and I'm waiting to pick a valve cover up from a guy so I can have it powder coated blue, I can't wait, it's gonna be sick as fook.....
I'll change my plugs to the NGK BPR6ES's and ditch the $48 plugs.....

hey my car is an auto with 49000 miles on it, today i switched the stock bov on and i have no problems i dont kno whats going on, the hks is ok, i got a good deal on it thats why i got it
