well just got back from a weeks vacation. i went to start the car but nothing. battery is dead. no biggie, so i just jump it. it seems fine till i pull it out of the driveway and it dies. then it has no battery still so i jump it again, drive it down the street and go to park it and it dies. jump it again, hold rpm's and let off and it dies. wtf.
about a month ago i bought a new battery because i got home from vegas and it wouldnt start. new battery worked fine. then about 2 weeks ago i got my timing belts/water pump replaced at 60k. everything seemed just fine, no side affects from the timing belt change. but now this.
my dad seems to think its the timing, but if the timing was off wouldnt it affect the whole powerband? when i went down the street i went as fast as i could and it seemed fine, like i still had all my power. my neighbor thinks i have a bad ground or a short somewhere in all my "aftermarket" wiring stuff, but i usually insulate shit really good and ground things to the best of my ability.
now should i take the car to the place i got my belts replaced and tell them its fugged up? or is there something i can possibly do because i really dont like that place anymore, they bs'ed me for a shitload of "mitsubishi dealer only" parts that cost him 50 bucks that i later found are like 5. any help would be much appreciated.
p.s. i think i have a boost leak because maybe 1 out of 10 times i hit full boost it feels like it falls on its face and i can hear a whistle that i usually never hear but when it does it. now i wouldnt think a small boost leak would affect it so much it would die, i was gonna put off a boost leak test cause usually i baby it and i was just gonna get a FMIC and all that good stuff that goes along with it. could this be the problem also? or am i just paranoid.
thanks for your time

, as long as that belt is turning the engine should be turning over. Timing belts are basically they work or they dont work, and your engine jumps you said so i dont think thats your problem :/ Dont quote me on this but i know timming belts have a tendency to ethier work or not work at all they. if the car is drivable after you jump it i dont think its ur timing belt.
