I have a 6 bolt gst 1g gen. My car died and wouldnt start, but turned over. I checked timing and it was 4-5 teeth off, I just want to make sure that the vavles are definitly what it is. I bought a timing kit and installed it. Now timing is perfect but i get 0 in the #1 cylinder. 30 in the #2. 145 in the #3 and 0 in the #4. Just wanna make sure I have bent valves. I did the compression test with the intake manifold off if that matters. The motor is a jdm and was running strong when i got it but i never got a chance to check compression on it to check on the rings and the Headgasket. is it my valves?I jusdt want to be sure b4 I yank the head

-Do a leak down test, if you hear air coming out from the tail pipe or the intake, your valves are bend.

No I dont ahve the guages to do a leakdown. I have a compressor where can I plug it into the engine ?

-Into the spartk plug hole, your compressor need to have a pressure regulator, keep the compressor far away from the car by using a long air hose so you can hear where the air is leaking from, I use the adaptor hose from my craftman compression tester.

Killa, another thing you can do is remove the valve cover. Most times when you bend valves, a few of the rocker arms will get knocked off as a result of the valve hitting the piston. You will see them resting in the head.

They are. Additionally, you may have installed it with the cams 180° out.
