HKS TURBO TIMER need quick help plz!

well i searched the forums first and couldnt find a problem so that's why i'm posting my problem, i have a 1g, just installed the HKS turbo timer type-0 with the hks harness, i installed everything like the how-to article and etc i saw while searching, and etc.. except for the RPM wire, handbrakes and everything else is installed, ok here's the problem, the turbo timer comes on, but when i shut off the engine, the engine shuts off as well, and the turbo timer just counts down, can anybody tell me what the problem is? do i really need to install that RPM wire? i am stomped i checked all the wiring 3 times, and nothing seems to be the problem, so if anybody had the same problem and fixed their's i would love to hear it, or if anybody know what the problems is please help me out thanks a bunch.

Did you use a harness for the ignition wiring or just hard wire it? It sounds like one of them is hooked up wrong. If I were you I'd hook up the rpm wire first just to see if it fixes it.

well i have a 2g but i installed my type-0 without a harness wire by wire. i had your same problem too. do does ur radio still stay on and all of the accessories? check to see if you have one of your wires hooked up to the accessiries by accident. sorry i dont know the specific name of the wire or color but at least it gives u a general direction to look

yeah i used the HKS harness, so i dont know what's wrong, no my radio and etc doesnt stay on, just the turbo timer, i have no clue as to what's wrong, i'm thinking a wire too, but i dont know which one? humm help plz? i would love to stop sitting in the car when it's like 90 degree's outside waiting for 1-2mins hehe.. thanks ahead, appreciate your help guys.

my problem was that the ignition wire was not tapped, i had tapped the accessories instead. check to make sure u have the ignition wire tapped.
