:( Alright I recently made some changing of my plans and decided to install a dsmlink in my 1g.

Well I went ahead and got a computer had a ghetto tv repair shop socket it for me.
I also went through the trouble and made up the wireing harness needed.

Heres my problem since I don't have another dsmlink chip with me, I figured ah what the hell I have one in my eclipse I'll make sure the socket job worked.

I installed the dsmlink chip and plugged the ecu into my 2g. click it to ACC and all I get it a bunch of clicking from the relays. WTF??
So I stick the factory eprom chip in and it doesnt click like it did with the dsmlink chip. But the car obviously won't start cause its a 95 ecu and I have a 97 motor reversed CAS and bigger injectors.

This is the 2nd time this has happened to me, the first time was with my 90 eprom ecu.
I went over all the traces from where the eprom makes contact to the socket down the to where the trace goes along and ends. Everything seem's to have contact.

I'm getting really bummed out about this does anyone have any clues as too whats up?
Did another computer get messed up during the socket job, if so why does the factory chip seem to work when I put it back in.

Thanks

Something is not right with your ECU & neither you nor the ghetto TV shop will be able to figure it out. Ship your ECU to ZDR Electronics in Orlando Fl & have it checked out. They rebuilt mine with complete success & warranty--here is the link.

I just got dsmlink today and socketed a 95 ecu myself. I have the same problem with mine. All the fuel relays/solenoids and boost solenoid are clicking like mad. I put the stock ecu back in and it starts and runs fine. I also can't connect to the ecu with my laptop either. Anyone have a clue.

Not a clue, but this will help.
first, you tagged onto the end of an old thread relating to 1g DSMs, which are very different than the later 2g DSMs & so your query went to guys like me who may not be familiar with 2g,
you need to re-start your quest for help as a new "problem diagnosis" at the forum website, you'l stand a much greater chance of finding someone that can help you.
Second, you need to reword exactly what you did, it's confusing the way you worded it, are you saying that you hooked up a dsmlink to a 95 ECU for your 97 DSM or what exactly?
Don't reply here, go to the forum "problem diagnosis" & start over, carefully describing exactly what you did in more complete detail.
