I just installed a set of 68# injectors, and now the car has the following symptoms:

- Rough idle
- Under WOT, and car stutters, and sounds like it's misfiring
- If I'm in nuetral, and I floor it, the rpm's only go up to about 4500 with lots of popping and black smoke
- My EGT is a little higher than usual

Pretty much, I can't drive it anywhere because I can't get up to speed; all it does it pops and black smoke everywhere!!!! Obviously, it's probably has something to do with the injectors because it wasn't doing this before I installed them. Any feedback would be great!!

Oh, and my OBD II scanner says everything is ok- no codes. Before I installed the injectors, I got a couple of codes.

- Fuel Trim Malfunction
- Manufacturer Control. Auxillary emission (this code has popped up every once in a while since I got my exhaust)

you need an a/f controller. right now your car thinks it has the 440s in it so its dumping gas as normal. but actually its dumping like 25% or more fuel. you get ur self a fuel controller and put it ona like a 20% decrease at low end and 10% (depends what ur running) on the top end.

You know, that's what I was thinking too; I just need to get it tuned so my ecu knows that I have bigger injectors. Is this common with fuel upgrades? I mean, is it standard when you upgrade? Cuz, I read all the time that people have fuel upgrades and no fuel controller. Would a Fuel pressure regulator work too? Or do I need that in conjunction with the controller? Glad to see I was thinking along the right path. Thanks for the help.

well the 2g fpr are junk you will need one anyways but most poeple prolly have just fuel upgrade and/or fpr. but you dont need one with a high flow pump. but fuel injectors almost always needs an a/f contoller. a fpr might work though dont get the b&m cammandflo casue that still uses the bottom of your stock fpr, so they dont work good. good luck.

Yeah, for now, I put the stock injectors back in, so I can drive it. I will wait until I get a FPR, and an AFC II to put the injectors back in. Thanks for all of the help.
