What's wrong with my A/C???

Man, it was over 100 today and I thought I was gonna die. I should have driven another car I guess, but I like pimping the eclipse around on sunny days. Anyway, to the question:

My A/C will work for a few seconds, then the cold/cool air stops and the air gets warm. The A/C light starts blinking. Is the compressor bad? What makes the light flash on and off?

This can be because low or high freon.

I'll bet you're low. Check the sight glass for bubbles.

I had it checked out by the bodyshop, who put in a new fan a while back after hitting a dog, etc. Maybe he wired the fan wrong? He recharged it, so I am almost sure it wouldn't be low.
