Well, I recently purchased a 90 Talon TSI AWD. The first 2 days it ran great on 12 psi, the first day I got it, it ran a little warm, but nothing serious. Well, the following day as I was driving home, it began gettong hotter and hotter, I pulled over, coolant steaming all over. A hose blew up. I replaced it, figured, a 14 year old hose, it has to go sometime. the next day, another hose blows up. I replace it, try and start the car and I get nothing. I hear the fuel pump running, but it just cranks and cranks and cranks. I hooked it up to a friends car, he towed me down the road, I let out on the clutch, the car fired up, however, it will not maintain and idle once it's warm. Let me also add, once it did warm up, it blew yet another hose. A friend of mine told me that a blown head gasket could cause the pistons to be forcing air in to the coolant system causing the weakest hose to explode. When the car is started by towing, it doesn't run great, but it's decent. Does anyone have ANY idea at all what my problem could be. Thank you very much in advance for all who give me their input.
