I just finished swapping the hotside of my turbo. The local auto parts idiot sold me the wrong crush washers (too thick) for the oil feed line and i ended up stripping out 3 of the threads in the head. This happened yesterday, and i noticed it after my test drive...say 5 miles. The oil was pretty much just pouring out while the engine was running.
My question is...how much oil would you have to lose before your oil pressure went to hell?
My oil pressure is really low right now.
I ask because tomorrow morning at 5:00 am I have to drive 40 miles to work. The local parts store is closed and, aside from a walmart that's 50 miles away, I have no way of getting any Mobile 1 before I drive.
Think I can limp it to work? Or should I steal a honduh and run to Walmart?
Thanks,
Symple
