Pulled the panel off and took the switch apart. Cleaned all the connectors put it back together and it worked for about 3 days. Im riding down the road roll up the windows to light a smoke and of course the ####ing window wont roll back down. So I get home, pull the door panel off again inspect and make sure there arent any wires loose. For god knows what reason I decide too jiggle the power window motor a bit while pressing the button and it starts working again. I didnt have to do it hard or even for a long time just like a quick tap on it and the window works normal. Just wondering wtf might be goin on?
All the bolts holding the motor in are tight.
So apparently there is nothing wrong with the switch and the only possible thing I could think is either the motor is going bad or there is a wire frayed/loose whatever, somewhere. Of course I cant see anything behind the metal in the door and can barely fit a hand in there much less maneuver around if I had to fix something.
What is the best way to test a power window motor?
