Horrid Shake and noise!! Help!!

Was racing an RX-7 on I93 and may have broken something (I did win though

Here is what I have

Car is vibrating badly

So badly that it managed to vibrate out a Magnacor plug wire, and they are pretty tight.

Horrible klunking grining droning noise.

Vibration is located passenger side but near the shifter hump.

Midas Muffler who had just done the wheel hub and axle on passenger side looked at it and saw some trouble down at the yoke of the Transfer case.

Should I assume that I have the standard transfer case problem?

My sister in law (first owner) had it looked at and they said it was ok.

OK well I found 2 things

1 - the dust shield from the tailshaft of the transfer case had become loose and had managed to wedge itself onto the front of the driveshaft.

2 - The jingling noise I had been hearing and assuming was some stray clamp was actually chunks of the metal tailshaft seal.

I tried to get the driveshaft out to check the damage and after unbolting both carriers and the 4 bolts on the rear diff, I couldnt budge the shaft. Anyone have a clue what this is. My tailshaft seal is smashed.I didnt see a ton of fluid but some has definately been getting out.

Im calling the dealership in the morning to see about the recall. It seems maybe I lucked out and didnt get to the point of locking up the wheels to find out the t case was failing.

Also note that this is my daily driver and I dont even do weekend drag racing. The race mentioned above was starting at 80 or so. No launches in this cars life. My Chevelle can get broken. This car gets me to work
