grease on timing belt

my driveshaft boot on the drivers side busted and grease has kinda went everywhere. i dont have my lower cover on, which i will be putting on. i was to excited to get my car runnin after a head swap and i wish i would of put it on now. but anyway, I think some of the grease from the driveshaft might of got on it. Will it be okay or not. I know if you get oil on a belt it can stretch it, believe me I know. I have did this timing thing i think about seven times in the last two months.

If you can't afford to replace your engine due to a timing belt failure then change your timing belt. I figure, better safe than sorry. Look at the bright side! You already have the lower cover off
