I was coming home on my lunch break today and my car seemed to shift a bit funny- just kind of odd and i didnt really know what it was. it wasnt griding or anything, so i thought it was just me. Well I pull up to a stop light and when i take it out of second, it pops out with the clutch in. I roll to a stop and try to figure out why it did that. Well the light turns green and it goes into first fine, without a problem. Huh.. whatever. So I shift to second, still feels weird, starting to think theres not enough pressure in the pedal. Well I come to a stop sign, and it pops from second again, this time it was a little hard to get into first and when i went to push the clutch in to go to second it just just fell to the floor. I pulled it up with my foot and pushed it again, and it dropped again. I drove the rest of the way home in first and its still stuck in first.

Theres no pressure when I push the pedal in......

Anyone know where I can look to fix this?

check around the firewall/ carpet area and see if youre slave is leaking

I dont see anything that looks like its leaking. This is in the gereral area of the pedal right? Is there a resivoir or something I can check?

With the car sitting off, i still cant take it out of 1st. <- does that mean it might be tranny related?

Nevermind that last post. I found the resivior and its empty- so Im gonna go out and buy the brake fluid for it, unless theres something better? Ill fill it up and bleed it and see what happens from there.

check underneith the tranny to see if anything was leaking like the clutch slave cylinder, because they usually just don't run out like that. mine did the same thing except i couldn't put it in any gear, and there was no pressure on the clutch peddle when u pushed it in.. hope this helps :laser: Cory :laser:

Yeah, its leaking- well, leaking is putting it conservatively.

Is it pretty simple to change? It looks it, but I dont want to get in there and find more linkage or anything.

ya its pretty easy to change. theres acouple bolts holding it on, then u take off the pipe and then i think u just pull the the linkage out and then putting it back in is just reverse and just bleed it when done. its bin awhile since i replaced mine, but once u start taking it apart ull see what to do. there pretty cheep to i think i paid around 20 bucks for mine.
