After finally starting up the car for the first time Saturday and taking it out it was popping and missing under boost. Of course it was a boost leak, but I was suprised at where I found it. It is leaking in the car at the brake pedal. I assume the check valve for the brake booster is bad. I am not really looking for ward to putting another brake booster on so I will probably just put a check valve in line. Car runs great with your foot on the brake. Has anyone had this happen befor?

There are a couple Threads on this - Stock Check valve is INSIDE stock Vac hose - You can replace it by splicing in a generic Steel PCV type Check Valve. You'll have virtually NO BRAKES if booster is bad so be CAREFUL!

Ah I had the stock brake hose replaced when i put on the magnus on. I really dont recall seeing anything strange about the hose as far as having a valve in it. Thanks for the help though.

That's what I did - Thankfully I didn't throw the old hose away - You can feel the "lump" & cut out the old valve & carfully slide it into the new hose with a little lube - It's a fragile teeny little plastic bugger. :thumb:

I had my Bumper to Bumper guy look up the Highest Amp Mitsu Alternator that would fit a 1G:

- Max amperage 121 amps

- 100 amps at 3000rpm

- Max 1548 watts

- Manufacturer Ampere - Ampere P/N 21491

- Cost was about $150.00

- I run a 1 Farad Cap too with an El-Cheapo Battery that pushes a 500 Watt Sony Amp & head Unit no problems - no dimming, etc.

I put it on Car Ramps & come from underneath so no need to remove Fan - It's still a PITA...

Make sure you have NO Power Steering Fluid leaks dripping on your Alt - that will kill the Voltage Regulator in a Heartbeat & can toast your ECU...

Car has no power steering and only runs 2 slim fans on the front of the fluidyne. If anything is gonna interfear its gonne be that dam 3" o2 housing.

Cool just been real busy hadn't even had time to work on the car much. If it get it running right this weekend I will swing it by
