Hard to Start, just makeing a check list

Hey guys, so here's the deal. On the first try to start the car, If i just crank it, it try's to turn over but doesn;t catch, unless I give it some throttle, in which case it idles and dies. Then, whether i gave it throttle or not, on the next try and cranking it, it usually starts (quicker if i hit the throttle a bit, but usually starts either way). If it give it gas, it bogs a bit, starts to due, and then if i let off and back on it revs up. This goes on until the engine is warmed up and then it seems to act ok. All this testing was done in neutral, car never built boost, but wasn't taken beyond 3500 rpms.

I just want to make a checklist of what i should check.

1) Plugs and Wires
2) Fuel Filter
3) MASS (?)

All I can think of ATM, any other sugestions?

Do 1 thing first, remove any spark plug & see what you have.
If it's dry, you have no gas--could well be the gas filter is clogged.
If the plug is wet, you have no spark--it starts at the ECU, goes thru the power transister, then to the coils, then thru the wires to the plugs.
