I am going to do a security feature on my 92 talon. Since something went wrong with the ignition and i cant get a signal to the starter to crank the engine, i have been jumping the car using a wire from the battery to the starter to crank it. Well i decided to use it as an anti-theft device.

My question is, with thsi eventually burn up my starter? is the starter voltage regulated?? thanks guys

Wait, i think i see what you are saying. I have a wire going straight from the positive terminal on the battery to the starter itself. So you are saying go fromt eh battery to the starter relay? is that it?

Should i just by a new realy(one like a fuel pump rewire relay) and put it inline with the power and all that?

Also, i already have it connected with a fuse and a black button by my feet. ;)
