Before anybody reads this thread, it's not belts so shut up.

Okay! So, when I start my car in the morning I like to hear my lifter tick, but I don't because when I give the car throttle I hear a loud kind of squealing flutter. When the car is under boost is sounds like a terrible squeal. This all goes away when the car is at optimum running temperature after driving for awile, but the minute I kill the car for maybe 5-10 minutes, it comes right back and goes away 5 min later.

I think it might be my Exhaust Manifold gasket because all of the bolts are as tight as can be and the noise is defenitely coming from the manifold area.

Help?

Harmonic balancer.

Seriously? I didn't think it squeaked.

Oh well my 6 bolt is just about ready, got another couple of days in the shop because the crank was ####ed and needs to be re-ground.

If the rubber's lost bond to the hub or the ring, it can squeal. They don't really have a "nearly" bad phase, they hold until they don't- however, they can fail so that they'll have high spots that'll give enough grip to hold once up to speed.

i have the same prob but mine squel goes away after 2 sec so i dont know what it is. i put new belts on and after two days it came back so i retighten the belts and evrything but still have the squel for 2 secs if that.
