Okay guys... if you've read one of my more recent posts, you'd know that I've replaced both master and slave cylinders recently but I still can't get this thing into gear!

I've bled the system over and over and over.. no air!
I've adjusted the master rod all the way out!
Car has a new clutch (3 months ago)

The car has been running fine with my aftermarket clutch up until two days ago when I lost all pedal pressure due to the slave cylinder going out. I thought that was all I had to fix, so why is my car not getting into gear. It's like it almost will but it just won't!

Now I've heard of getting this rod from Tabboo speed shop, but my ? is, shouldn't I have needed that longer rod right after I installed my performance clutch (equivilant to a act2600) over 3 months ago? It's been running fine up until a few days ago, and now its fuk'd! So WHAT GIVES MAN? I HATE THIS DAMN CAR!! I only like it when it runs, and thats only 1/3 of the year! EVERY YEAR!!!

help me out guys...

Scroll down to the bottom of this page HERE to where it talks about the clutch fork being centered as it exits the bellhousing. Report back with where the clutch fork is sitting in the middle of the opening. (to the left? center? to the right?)

I agree with what Mike said. If it is not centered (the clutch fork) or facing towards the driver's side of the vehicle, your pivot point is either worn out, or you simply need to shim it.

Thanks for the replys.. I gotta go to the shop where my car sits dead and check out the fork...but here's my question.

This all happened a couple of days ago as I was pulling in my garage... and I could feel a little popping at the pedal as I lost the pressure and could barely get it into gear. So, knowing I just replaced the master cylinder I decided to look at the slave cylinder to see if it was the problem, and sure enough it was bad and leaking fluid out of the boot. So I replaced at (keep in mind my clutch system has been perfect thus far). And now, after bleeding the system god knows how many times, it STILL won't go into gear and there's about 3 inches of pedal play.

So my question is this, why would this be happening all of a sudden if something didn't give or break? Could it possibly be a flatened pressure plate (even though its only 4 months old!)? I've heard of putting in a longer slave rod, but that brings me back to my first question, why would this happen just all of a sudden? I've HAD my performance clutch for almost 4 months now and drove it ever since without a problem.. other than the master cylinder and slave cylinder failing... and now I can't get it back up and running! As far as the pivot ball idea (inserting washers), wouldn't I have needed to do that right when I did my performance clutch upgrade???? Cuz like I said, it's been perfect up until now.
