Please Someone Tell Me What This Is And Why Its Leaking Oil So I Can Get My Car 2gthr

There is oil leaking out of the circled allen bolt in the block. rebuilt the whole engine and had the block bored and after we got it together we saw a leak in the bellhousing. pulled the tranny and the oil is coming from this hole/bolt. what is it and what is the best way of sealing it up? JB-weld or silicon? please someone help SUPER FAST so i can get this thing back together!!!! thanks

That is an oil galley plug. Pot an allen wrench in and try to remove it. If it comes out, clean it up and put some sealer on it (rtv,jb weld, etc) and screw it back in tight. If it doesnt come out, clean it very well with a chlorinated break cleaner and cover it good with a sealer. Make sure you get all the oil and residue off or the sealer will come off and it will start leaking again.

well i got it out cleaned it up and the hole and put some teflon tape around it put it back in and then filled the hole up with silicon so its flush with the rest of the block. pretty sure/hope its not going to leak now. thanks for the advice and hope to get it all together by friday so i can meet up with yall at the meet.
